Assembler

We seek an Assembler to perform a variety of operations required to assemble and repair pumps. Duties include reviewing paperwork and blueprints, and planning the sequence of assembly operations; actual assembly of pumps; identifying problem areas, performing inspection and test functions, and completing QA documentation. Candidates should have at least three years of mechanical assembly/repair experience, and the ability to use a wide variety of tools. Experience with rotating equipment is preferred.

Assembler

We seek packer/craters to plan, make and assemble a wide variety of boxes, skids and crates required to ship our products safely. Duties include ensuring proper documentation and inventory, determining best containers and materials given product parameters, and selecting best transport methods. Candidates must possess strong carpentry skills, including experience using power saws, nail guns and related equipment, and have a rudimentary understanding of Excel Spreadsheets.

Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the growth, management and direct sales activities for new pumping equipment, spare parts, and aftermarket services in Texas. Successful candidates will have proven experience in direct plant level sales as well as a background in complex sales involving international engineering firms.


Position will be based within Texas

Compensation: Base salary plus sales incentive plan

Required Qualifications
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree (BSME) or equivalent
  • Willingness to travel (50% +)
  • Experience in a made-to-order environment, or rotating, heavy industrial equipment is strongly preferred.

Bill of Materials Administrator

The Bill of Materials Administrator provides the company with the Bill of Material documentation required to bid, purchase and manufacture the company’s product in accordance with company, industry and customer specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Create part codes and technical descriptions.
  • Create Bills of Material for new part numbers that do not exist; for existing parts; for new pump and customer service orders, and for inquiries from customer purchase orders.
  • Create and maintain parts database.
  • Process “Engineering Change Notice” and “Service Change Notice” referring to applicable documentation.
  • Issue Bill of Material along with drawings, data sheets, sketches, catalog cuts and other pertinent data to Production Control.
  • Create summary bill report for the purpose of documentation control.
  • Maintain database integrity, uniformity and consistency.
  • Maintain part code guideline standards. Make necessary document changes based on CIR input and re-issue documents as applicable.

Other duties may include participation in problem solving and other company work improvement efforts; preparing, generating, distributing and maintaining records of work performed or data reports; working on other projects as directed.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in creating and or managing Engineering Bill of Materials or other Engineering documentation systems is required. Experience with Engineering Bill of Materials or other Engineering documentation related to mechanical components is a plus. Familiarity with Visibility business systems is also a plus.

Manager, Quality Systems

LPI seeks candidates from mechanical engineering backgrounds with a focus on welding to join its QA department. This position responds to colleague and customer inquiries regarding welding-related requirements, evaluates documents associated with welding, and assists in preparation for inspections. The incumbent will write and evaluate welding-related procedures and work instructions, and participate in and support company-wide efforts to ensure compliance with relevant codes and customer requirements, to document quality programs, and to improve dissemination of information to appropriate staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of welding specifications and processes; knowledge of ASME §9 preferred

Service Engineer
The Service Engineer’s primary responsibilities are to respond to and assist customers by answering inquiries, help in start-up and repair operations, and trouble-shoot problem areas. Duties will include:

  • Receive customer inquires; trouble-shoot problem; assist with modification and suggest alternative methods and practices to enhance and maximize operation of LPI equipment.
  • Coordinate necessary evaluation, analysis and preparation for presentations; travel to customer’s site to present seminars and to install, trouble-shoot and/or repair most LPI equipment.
  • Interact with various departments regarding Bill of Materials and schedule status, pump and spare parts prices, and engineering issues.
  • Maintain and utilize the CIR and ISO 9000 procedures.
  • Assist in writing, distributing and maintaining applicable instruction manuals and procedures.
  • Prepare quotations for service, rebuild, modifications and conversion kits for pumps for work done at LPI, service or customer location.
  • Prepare and maintain records of work performed or other data and reports as required. Maintain established quality and quantity standards and ensure that company policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to.
  • Participate in problem solving and other work improvement efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.
  • 33% international travel required.

Qualifications: 3-5 years’ related experience, preferably in a “job shop” environment; track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service; Navy nuclear background preferred.

Machinists
Lawrence Pumps is currently seeking skilled machinists to join our manufacturing team at our Lawrence, MA facility

The Machinist machines a wide variety of parts and various metals on both NC and manual lathes, following standard QC procedures. S/he reviews paperwork to ensure correctness of supplies & materials, sets up and machines parts to meet job requirements, and completes all necessary paperwork. Requirements: QC capacity, ability to read blueprints, experience in a job shop environment (heavy rotating equipment preferred) and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Welders
Lawrence Pumps is currently seeking skilled machinists to join our manufacturing team at our Lawrence, MA facility.

The Welder performs complex welding operations to assemble company products on a wide range of steels and exotic metals, using all welding equipment and meeting company welding standard requirements, as well as ASME, NQA1 and other specifications. S/he reviews paperwork to ensure correctness of supplies & material; sets up and welds parts to meet requirements; completes needed paperwork. Requirements: Ability to read blueprints, experience in a job shop environment (heavy rotating equipment preferred); understanding of ASME section 8, ability to work with minimal supervision.
