Patented Technology Düchting's SICcast® pumps are manufactured using a dense matrix of Silicon Carbide(SIC) and Epoxy Resin vacuum molded at high temperature to create a non permeable, corrosion proof, highly wear resistant casting. SIC is 9.7 on the Moh's hardness scale (diamond is 10). This extraordinary material provides many times the wear life of traditional hard metal and rubber lined pumps.

Best corrosion resistance of the metals, but can be susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.
