Dual Containment System for Zero Emissions
CMP Daul Containment Shell

CMP Liner

A standard pump relies on a pressurized double seal to protect the environment. A seal failure can depressurize the barrier fluid system allowing hazardous liquid or gas to leak to the environment.

With the Lawrence Zero-emission slurry pump's dual containment system, a sudden loss in barrier fluid pressure will not compromise the safety of the unit. Plant personnel and the environment are still completely protected by the canned motor's internal liner and external pressure containing shell.

Motor Electrical Elements Fully Protected
High strength, Hastelloy C276 liners (cans) protect the stator and rotor of the motor. The Hastelloy C276 offers excellent corrosion resistance and has superior strength and electrical characteristics.

Process Slurry Isolated from the Motor
The Lawrence Zero-emission design segregates the motor from the abrasives in the process fluid. The process liquid, with its abrasives and slurry, is sealed from the motor chamber. A Segregated and self-contained barrier fluid system cools and lubricates the motor and prevents the migration of any process fluid and/or abrasives into the motor.
