Extreme Conditions

Some of the motor options available for handling adverse sump conditions are:
  • Motor insulations for sump temperatures to 194oF (90oC)
  • Special cable sheathing options to handle elevated temperatures and/or corrosive conditions
  • Armored Cable Designs to protect wiring from physical damage
  • Moisture Sensing Probes to detect the influx of water into the motor
  • Winding Thermostats to provide over temperature protection

Continuous in Air

Covered or Exposed

Most submersibles are rated for continuous duty only when sump levels are high enough to cover the motor. LPI's optional Continuous-in-Air submersible can be operated with the motor above the liquid level and will not be damage should the pump lose prime and operate dry.

Hydraulic Features For:

  • Sludge Removal
  • Keeping Solids in Suspension
  • Moving up to 150 MM Diameter Solids
  • Agitators that Work

The optional, high flow, axial agitators create the mixing action needed to effectively move sludge and debris in effluent sumps, coke maze, coal and ash sumps and many other high solids applications.

    Wide Mounting Stand
    For Uneven / Unstable
    Tank or Sump Floors

Or where temporary pumping installations are needed for:

    • General Dewatering
    • Muddy Water / Drilling Mud
    • Storm Water Drainage
    • Settling Pond Clean-up
    • Etc.
The wide base option provides a stable mounting for the submersible pump when the bottom is uneven due to solids build up.

    Crane suspended for a
    Clean Bottom Sweep
    on applications such as:

    • sump dewatering
    • sludge removal
    • barge unloading
    • emergency pumping,
The Series 5100 Submersible pump with a flexible discharge line can be suspended from a crane allowing travel across the sump or tank bottom for a clean sweep.

    Quick Disconnect

    Clamp In - Easy Out

A quick disconnect arrangement is optional. With this system the pump is lowered into the sump using a slide rail system. At the bottom of the slide rail the pump locks in place to a permanently mounted elbow and discharge pipe. For removal the pump is simply lifted up the guide rail system.
